Rapture picks up where we left off in Inferno . Gabriel and Julianne are in Florence and waking up after their first night together. Whereas Inferno was just that—intense, heat searing from the page— Rapture feels more painful and torturous. There are chapters of painful emotions and situations that left me feeling frustrated and irritated with Gabriel, which is perfect story telling seeing as that’s exactly how Julianne feels. There’s no doubt that you’ll feel it too during this book. I felt like the heat in this book had been taken down a notch or two which isn’t a bad thing. As their relationship...
