 "Love is on the house." I’ve read a couple of books by A.L. Jackson before and enjoyed them. But I’ll be completely honest and say that when I saw the hashtag #piercedmc and read the blurb, it was an instant yes for me— you like what you like, right? I absolutely loved Ryder and Dakota’s story. I didn’t expect the plot twist and I adored that I didn’t guess it because I (rather annoyingly) do tend to guess.   Dakota is one of my favourite female characters ever I think. She’s strong, knows what she wants and goes to get it, even when that results in heartbreak. I simply loved her attitude and strength throughout this book and there wasn’t a single moment that she frustrated me (which is rare for me I’ll admit) I also cannot tell you how much I ADORED that she was a curvier female lead and that the guy adored those curves—as he should! She is not my equal; she is my better. She is my sticky little leaf... After my re-read of Gabriel’s Inferno , I naturally dived head-first into Gabriel’s Rapture . The sheer beauty and intensity of Gabriel’s Inferno —the exceptional story telling and emotion filled plot left me feeling a little overwhelmed so I was really left with no choice but to go straight from Inferno to Rapture . Rapture picks up where we left off in Inferno . Gabriel and Julianne are in Florence and waking up after their first night together. Whereas Inferno was just that—intense, heat searing from the page— Rapture feels more painful and torturous. There are chapters of painful emotions and situations that left me feeling frustrated and irritated with Gabriel, which is perfect story telling seeing as that’s exactly how Julianne feels. There’s no doubt that you’ll feel it too during this book. I felt like the heat in this book had been taken down a notch or two which isn’t a bad thing. As their relationship...

“If I have a soul, it's yours.” This is another re-read for me and one that I have absolutely loved. My love for The Professor started way back in 2013 when I read Gabriel’s Inferno for the first time, I’ve reread him many times since then, but as has happened with a lot of my rereads recently, I’ve rediscovered just how much I love them and have found I appreciate them on a much deeper level—perhaps it’s age? Perhaps it’s therapy? I don’t know but I adore it. It’s like discovering them for the first time again in a lot of ways and truly feels like a gift. There are so many reasons I love this series and it’s going to be really difficult to sufficiently put into words just how much this book means to me. “Victory is sweet.” I’m sure if you know K. Bromberg’s name, you’ll most likely to know her for the incredible creation that is Colton Donovan. Her Driven series is the only racing books I have ever read, so when I saw she was releasing a new series in the motor-racing world, I knew I had to read it. This one started off slowly for me (I’m not entirely sure if it’s just because of the kinds of books I’ve been reading though) I liked it, but I didn’t love it. But I knew Kristy would deliver and she absolutely did! I really liked Camila—she’s funny, feisty and strong (even if she doesn’t think so at times) I adored her relationship with Elise. more than with her other girlfriends actually, and of course, I adored the relationship with her dad too. She really goes from strength to strength in this story and it’s such a great arc. Now, what can I say about Riggs? I truly feel like he’s one of my favourites, one I’ll remember and read again. Incredible .  Colton and Rylee’s story continues in book two of the  Driven   Series and it goes from strength to strength. There were so many, so many parts in this story that had me actually growling at my kindle. Colton can truly be the most infuriating male in the book world sometimes. But I get it. And so will you. As is always the case with K.Bromberg , you’ll get a heap load of emotions and sexiness but it’s not all the story is. There is a complicated and deep story woven throughout and it’s beautiful to read. There are some utterly heartbreaking moments that left me breathless and with tears streaming down my face, but there were also many, many moments of absolute belly laughing and that’s truly what I need from a book. Everything . There are few books that make me throw my kindle, only to go right back and pick it up, because I just had to know what was going to happen. And then it did …   I LOVE this series.

  You know when you discover something so fantastic you wish you'd known about it your whole life? This is one of those books. I discovered K.Bromberg early into her writing career and haven’t looked back since.   At first when I started reading I thought I knew what kind of book this was going to be. You meet Rylee and you learn pretty quickly she’s a force to be reckoned with. She’s fierce brave and strong and I love that. You get introduced to Colton very early and he appears to be like so many other alpha males in romance books. Oh, how wrong I was. As the story unfolds, you realise that for all his bluster and dirty talk, Colton is a damaged and deeply feeling guy who doesn’t know how to let anyone in. Their chemistry is insane and the push-pull of their relationship will have you longing for more. “He's where my mind goes when I'm feeling my best.” I was gifted this book for my birthday from one of my best friends. I’d heard about it, seen that it had been made into a series and it was on my ‘to read’ list - but I’ll be completely honest and say that a lot of books have been added to that recently and none, have in fact, been read. This one started off slowly for me - I wanted to love it, but I think I’m out of practise at this reading malarkey and was unsure if some of the subjects covered would be a trigger for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those readers who wants a page full of ‘trigger warnings’ at the beginning of every book I read, but everyone has triggers, right? And I didn’t particularly want to tentatively peek out from my looooooong book slap slumber and be thrust head-first into a big trigger for me.
