Don't Forget Me Tomorrow (Time River #2) by A.L. Jackson

 "Love is on the house."

I’ve read a couple of books by A.L. Jackson before and enjoyed them. But I’ll be completely honest and say that when I saw the hashtag #piercedmc and read the blurb, it was an instant yes for me— you like what you like, right?

I absolutely loved Ryder and Dakota’s story. I didn’t expect the plot twist and I adored that I didn’t guess it because I (rather annoyingly) do tend to guess.

Dakota is one of my favourite female characters ever I think. She’s strong, knows what she wants and goes to get it, even when that results in heartbreak. I simply loved her attitude and strength throughout this book and there wasn’t a single moment that she frustrated me (which is rare for me I’ll admit) I also cannot tell you how much I ADORED that she was a curvier female lead and that the guy adored those curves—as he should!

Now, Ryder … bloody hell where did you come from? Seeing as it was this dark male that tempted me to read this story, I’m delighted to say he did not disappoint at all. He’s dark, dangerous, covered in tattoos and with with a piercing I find insanely sexy. (I’ll say no more) But under all that darkness, he's soft and kind and protective and it’s the most delicious combination.

I really enjoyed the forbidden aspect of their relationship, the fact they’d known each other growing up and that even when their paths had taken then in different directions, they were still on each other’s minds.

I read this book super quickly, in a little over 24 hours, which just goes to show how much I loved it. I wish I could visit Time River Market & Café and have one of Dakota’s cookies, A.L. Jackson did such a good job at painting the picture of the place that I almost feel like I have been there. The sexy scenes in this book were all incredibly well written, some of the best I've read actually. There aren't many books that have all the things you love to read included in the sexy times, and yet this book had them all--bravo A.L. Jackson!

I can’t end this review without mentioning the cutest, most adorable little guy within this story—Kayden. He absolutely stole my heart from the second we meet him and he still has it now.

I really am excited to read the rest of the series and see where it takes everyone, and I’m going to go back and read the first book in the series as I want to know more about Caleb and Paisley.

I’m giving Don't Forget Me Tomorrow 4 delicious stars.

*I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this review and my review is 100% honest and true.

Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

“I think you have to have faith in people before they earn it. Otherwise it's not faith, right?” It’s not often (probably never for most people) that you find a book that, for a good 75% of the book, you dislike 99% of the characters in it and yet, YOU KEEP READING. It seems utterly ridiculous to even say that about a book that I have given 5 stars to, I get it. But it’s how I felt reading this book and it’s a testament to the absolute artistry that is the writing of this story for me. It’s not my typical read and if any other book was like this, it would be left unfinished. I see no shame in not finishing a book you don’t love. There are too many wonderful books out there to discover, why read something you don’t wholeheartedly adore? And yet … The writing and story telling of these incredibly flawed and complex characters had me unable to put it down—I mean that, I read it in less than 48 hours—I just HAD to know what happened, I was fully invested even though I felt no real conn...

Fueled (book two) by K. Bromberg

Incredible .  Colton and Rylee’s story continues in book two of the  Driven   Series and it goes from strength to strength. There were so many, so many parts in this story that had me actually growling at my kindle. Colton can truly be the most infuriating male in the book world sometimes. But I get it. And so will you. As is always the case with K.Bromberg , you’ll get a heap load of emotions and sexiness but it’s not all the story is. There is a complicated and deep story woven throughout and it’s beautiful to read. There are some utterly heartbreaking moments that left me breathless and with tears streaming down my face, but there were also many, many moments of absolute belly laughing and that’s truly what I need from a book. Everything . There are few books that make me throw my kindle, only to go right back and pick it up, because I just had to know what was going to happen. And then it did …   I LOVE this series.

Cor Amare (Luna #2) by Pepper Winters

“Someday...but not today,” There’s no doubt that Pepper has a unique ability to create worlds and characters that you haven’t met before. She writes love with an intensity that burns from the page and sears soul-mates together for eternity and this story is no different. I really wanted to love this duet—I loved the idea of everything being surrounded by water, that the love story span a lifetime and I adored the way in which the story was told. But Cor Amare left me feeling a little like the first one did, that it didn’t quite deliver on what I hoped for. Cor Amare picks up exactly where we left off in Lunamare —Aslan is on the run and Neri is trying to pick up the pieces and keep him safe. The story is a whirlwind for many chapters and then Pepper lulls us into a place of presumed safety … which of course doesn’t last for long. Strangely I found Aslan most likeable when he was apart from Neri and trying to survive his ordeal. I found his strength and sheer determination to fight in...
